Wirral Golf Classic: September 13th - 17th 2010 The inaugural Wirral Golf Classic, a 72 hole Stableford competition for amateurs, will be held on 13 - 17 September on four beautiful golf courses in Wirral - Caldy, Heswall, Wallasey and the magnificent Royal Liverpool Golf Club. All entrants will enjoy the beautiful locations of these fine courses on the coast of this peninsula, overlooking the Rivers Mersey and Dee. Heswall Golf Club Heswall Golf Club is an attractive undulating parkland course on the Wirral Peninsula by the banks of the Dee Estuary with views of the Welsh Hills. The course which has recently been extended, presents a variety of challenges for short and long handicap players. Heswall was the venue for the Junior Open in 2006 and also for the North of England Under 16s Championships in 2006, 2007, 2008, and again in 2009.
